Google announced a replacement for the present Merchant Center called Merchant Center Next. In the old version, products needed to be uploaded from the website or rolled on using the Googe Sheet saved in the drive. In the Next version, products will be automatically populated from the website.
The change will make things easier for less technical folks struggling to place their products in the old version of Merchant Center. The old version has been a manual process consisting of tediously uploading one product after another or setting up complex feeds along with product descriptions, imagery, pricing, etc.
Merchant Next will pull off all the products and even edit features, and product descriptions as well. This will facilitate larger retailers. Google is committed to rolling out Next at a faster pace.
